In spring 2008 me (Dominik) and Benjiam decided to make a trip around europe. Now europe is big enough to choose hunders of ways and routes to travel with. So we thought about different countries which we are intreseted in and what we wanted to see. We compared sights we heared of, routes from traveling guides and recommanded cites.
So these locations were on our top list. Also we thought it'd be easy for us to travel in countries were english is kind of established, like Scotland ;)
Since we didn't have a huge budget, actually a quite small one, I guess around 1k CHF.
We decided to travel europe by train, which is comfortable and fast. Maybe not that flexible as if you travel by car, but much more relaxed and railways are very good in europe.
After the budget question usually the question about the time comes right after it.

Since we live in Switzerland that's were we started.
But the ticket wasn't valid for "your home country"... which I think is crap. Only because we aren't in the EU? (Don't know if it's still like this, but check it before you jump on the train)
I mean look at this picture, switzerland is almost nothing compared to the rest and it's not included... what the?

First we thought we'd have three weeks, so the plan was to get to France, Paris and maybe another city, England with about three stays, Scotland with two steps all the way to the north. On the top we'd take the ferry directly to Oslo (Norway), fight our down to Stockholm with some excursions. Next step
